Teemu Pohjola

Teemu Pohjola is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in innovation and design, currently serving as General Manager and Head of Innovation at Sony since April 2013. In this role, Teemu oversees day-to-day management activities and directs research teams to align new technology developments with Sony’s corporate vision. Additionally, Teemu leads the New York R&D Lab at Sony Music Entertainment as Senior Director, focusing on service innovation through AI and machine learning. Previous positions include Head of Division at Tietotalo Oy and various roles at Movial, such as Project Manager and Senior Interaction Designer. Teemu holds a Master of Arts in Media Science from the University of Lapland, obtained in December 2006.
