Ana Claudia Marques

Ana Claudia Marques has a diverse work experience in the field of genetics and research. Ana Claudia is currently working as the Head of Scientific Knowledge Transfer at SOPHiA GENETICS since January 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Genome Expert Research Lead at the same company from September 2020 to May 2023.

Before joining SOPHiA GENETICS, Ana Claudia Marques worked as an SNF Assistant Professor at UNIL - Université de Lausanne from October 2014 to August 2020.

Prior to their position at UNIL, they were a Research Fellow at the University of Oxford from February 2013 to October 2014. Before that, they served as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the same institution from April 2008 to February 2013.

Their earlier work experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciencia from September 2001 to September 2003.

Ana Claudia Marques completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biology, General from the University of Lausanne, graduating in 2008. In 2023, they pursued further studies and obtained a Master's degree in intellectual property and law, specializing in Droit de la propriété intellectuelle and management from the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies - CEIPI.
