Verena Schramm

Verena Schramm has extensive work experience in the field of genomics and product management. Verena is currently the VP of Product Management at SOPHiA GENETICS since 2023. Prior to that, they held various roles at QIAGEN from 2016 to 2023, including Director Global Product Management, Associate Director, Global Product Management, and Senior Global Product Manager. Before QIAGEN, they worked at Sophia Genetics SA as a Subject Matter Expert and Sales and Business Development Manager in 2014 and 2015. Verena also has experience as a Predoctoral Fellow at EMBL, a Visiting Scientist at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massey University, a Trainee at GATC Biotech, and a Student Job at hitseller GmbH.

Verena Schramm has a solid education background in the field of Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics. Verena obtained their Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Westfälische Hochschule in 2008. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science in Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics at the same institution from 2008 to 2010. Additionally, Verena Schramm gained valuable international experience by completing a Master's degree in Bioinformatics at King's College London in the year 2009.
