VP Of Engineering at Sophos

Neil Watkiss began their work experience in 2000 as a Coop Student at Circa Communications. In 2000, they also worked as a Software Developer at ActiveState. From 2001, Neil started contributing to CPAN, specifically focusing on the Inline:: family of modules. In 2003, they joined Sophos as a Senior Developer, where they played a significant role in developing gateway email filtering solutions. Neil also worked as a Senior Development Manager at Sophos, where they led a team of engineers and provided technical and personal leadership. Neil later became Chief Engineer at Sophos, responsible for architectural oversight, technical leadership, and problem-solving. Currently, Neil is working at Sophos as the Director of Engineering for the Windows Agent, and as of 2022, they hold the position of VP of Engineering.

Neil Watkiss attended Simon Fraser University from 1996 to 2000 where they obtained a BASc degree in Engineering.
