Richard Lycett

Richard Lycett is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in various roles at Sophos since November 2017, including Platform Senior Software Engineering Manager, DevOps Manager Software Development, DevOps Software Engineer Team Lead, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Engineer. Prior to Sophos, Richard served as a Software Engineer at Photon Design from November 2011 to October 2017 and worked as a Research Associate at the University of Sheffield from July 2009 to June 2011, contributing to significant research projects involving data analysis and result presentations. Richard holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics and a Master’s Degree in Physics MSci, both from the University of Birmingham, alongside a background in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics from Norton College Sheffield College.
