Jimmy Cheong

Jimmy Cheong has an extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Jimmy is currently working as the Managing Director at Sopra Steria since April 2021, where they are responsible for defining and delivering the operational strategy for Sopra Steria Asia. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Operating Officer (Interim) from December 2020 to April 2021.

Prior to joining Sopra Steria, Jimmy worked at Avanade as the Director of Program & Project Management from March 2018 to June 2019. At Avanade, they developed and executed activities related to end-to-end project management.

Before Avanade, they served as a Project Manager at Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) from October 2017 to February 2018. Jimmy also has experience working at Fuji Xerox Singapore, Siemens, IBM, Datacraft, Singapore Telecommunication Pte. Ltd., and National Computer Board in various leadership roles such as Head of Professional Services and Technology Group, Senior Project Manager, Regional Offering Manager, and Country Business Manager.

Jimmy Cheong completed their education at Staffordshire University with a Bsc (HONS) in Computer Science in 1994. In 2022-2023, they attended the Chief Strategy Officer programme at NUS Business School. Jimmy also obtained multiple certifications, including "Introduction to Business Analytics with R" from Coursera and "The CEO Test: Mastering Leadership Challenges" from LinkedIn in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
