Matt Shimkus

Matt Shimkus has extensive work experience in finance, holding various positions in different companies. Matt is currently the Vice President of Finance at SOTERA HEALTH LLC since July 2019. Before that, they worked as the Vice President of Financial Analysis at SP+ (SP Plus) from September 2015 to July 2019. Prior to that, they were the Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis at USG from August 2013 to August 2015. Matt also served as the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis at Utilities Inc. from September 2009 to July 2013. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Finance Manager at Fenwal, Inc. from January 2005 to September 2009 and as the Manager of Risk Analysis at Royal Bank of Canada from June 2003 to January 2005. Matt started their career as a Mortgage Loan Consultant at Flagstar Bank from September 2001 to June 2003.

Matt Shimkus received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies from Trinity International University in 2001. Matt then went on to earn their MBA with a focus on Finance and Accounting from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2011. In 2014, they obtained certification as a Certified Corporate FP&A Professional from the Association for Financial Professionals. Additionally, they attended Rosslyn Academy in Nairobi, Kenya from 1985 to 1989.
