Chief Quality & Compliance Officer at Sound

Doug Crandall is Chief Quality & Compliance Officer at Sound and is responsible for promoting excellence of Sound’s clinical services while demonstrating value through outcomes and organizational efficiency. He also ensures that the organization proactively maintains compliance with laws, regulatory requirements, policies and procedures at the state and federal levels. Crandall participates in Sound’s evolving relationship with the Managed Care Organizations operating in Washington state.

He brings more than 35 years of professional behavioral health experience and executive leadership to his role at Sound. Prior to joining the organization, Crandall served as Chief Executive Officer of Community Psychiatric Clinic and was instrumental in guiding Community Psychiatric Clinic through its integration with Sound in 2019.

Crandall also served in senior leadership positions at Catholic Community Services of Western Washington, and the Pierce County Regional Support Network, where he was involved in strategic planning, program development and contract management.

He holds an MA in Educational Psychology from the University of Oregon and a BA in Psychology from Lebanon Valley College in Pennsylvania.
