Gary Zimmer

Dr. Gary Zimmer leads clinical operations for our emergency medicine specialty. In this role, he collaborates with regional clinical and service line leaders and Sound’s hospital partners nationwide to achieve the highest quality, efficient, and consistent emergency care. A former health system CMO with more than 20 years of experience in health system, physician practice, and informatics leadership positions, Dr. Zimmer is passionate about building emergency medicine programs that empower clinicians and emphasize quality, patient experience, and hospital throughput.
