Mercan Topkara

Mercan Topkara is the Chief AI Officer at Sounder. Mercan has held several positions in the past including Co-Founder and CEO at Podnods Incorporated, VP of Data at Luminary Media, and Teachers Pay Teachers. Mercan has also worked as a Research Engineer for JW Player and as a Research Scientist for IBM. Mercan has also completed research internships with IBM T. J. Watson and Google.

Mercan Topkara holds a PhD in Computer Science from Purdue University - The Graduate School. Mercan also has a Master of Science in Computer Science from Bilkent University, with a focus on data mining. Mercan Topkara also holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Bilkent Üniversitesi.
