Mark Gehl

Mark Gehl has extensive work experience in the field of cloud architecture and engineering. Mark most recently worked as the Director of Engineering at Source7, where they led a small development team and implemented various improvements, including redesigning the primary database and introducing a CI/CD pipeline. Prior to that, they held the role of Senior Cloud Architect at author by Humana, where they contributed to cloud adoption and best practices. Mark also worked as a Senior Cloud Architect at GE Appliances, where they supported a call-center migration project and promoted the use of modern technologies. Earlier in their career, Mark worked as a Programmer at Mission Critical Systems and held various roles at GE Appliances, including Integration Technology Architect and Integration Solution Architect. Mark began their career as a Student at Wabash College and also spent a year as a Novice at the Dominican Province of St. Joseph. Mark's work experience spans over two decades, showcasing their expertise and growth in the field of cloud architecture and technology.

Mark Gehl obtained their bachelor's degree in Economics from Wabash College, which they attended from 1994 to 1998. In addition to their formal education, they also achieved certifications in the field of Amazon Web Services (AWS). In November 2017, they acquired the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification, followed by the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification in June 2019.
