Cameron Devey

Executive Director Operations | Assistant Chief Officer at South Australian Country Fire Service

Cameron Devey has extensive work experience in the public sector. Cameron started their career as a Senior Sergeant at the South Australia Police in 2014, where they held roles such as Officer in Charge of Media and Public Engagement Unit and Anti-Corruption Branch Taskforce. In 2016, they became an Inspector, leading the Southern District Operations and taking on special assignments related to strategic review and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander portfolio development. In 2020, they were promoted to Chief Inspector and assumed the role of A/Officer in Charge of Communication and Engagement Branch at the South Australia Police. Finally, in 2023, they joined the South Australian Country Fire Service as the Executive Director Operations and Assistant Chief Officer.

Cameron Devey completed their Year 12 education at Mercedes College in 1997. Cameron then pursued further education and obtained a Graduate Diploma in Business Management (Police and Emergency Services) from the Australian Institute of Police Management (AIPM) in 2018.
