Deidre Barry, MPA

Deidre Barry, MPA, has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Deidre began their career at The Holden School in 2004 as a Transitional Specialist, where they provided support and guidance to special education and behavioral high school students in setting transitional goals. Deidre performed career interest inventories, offered career counseling, assisted with job searches, and supervised post-secondary programming visits.

In 2010, Deidre joined the South Boston Community Health Center. Deidre initially served as an Administrative Assistant to the Director of Clinical Operations. In this role, they managed provider schedules, collected and recorded patient feedback, handled payroll for multiple departments, and was responsible for maintaining and organizing policies and procedures.

Deidre then progressed to the position of Human Resources Assistant, where they were directly responsible for updating and verifying employee information. Deidre also managed payroll responsibilities, tax forms, and employee benefits.

From 2015 to 2019, Deidre served as a Human Resources Manager at the South Boston Community Health Center. Deidre played a significant role in recruitment, benefits administration, employee relations, labor relations, compensation, strategic planning, and organizational development. Deidre ensured the agency's compliance with regulatory laws.

Most recently, Deidre held the position of Human Resources Director at the South Boston Community Health Center since August 2019. In this role, they provided management and oversight for all human resource functions, further emphasizing regulatory compliance and strategic planning.
