Sylvie Xiaowei Zhuang

Sylvie Xiaowei Zhuang is a journalist at the South China Morning Post SCMP since February 2023, previously serving as a Knowledge Management Consultant at the Asian Development Bank from September 2021 to August 2022. Sylvie has a strong research background with experience as a researcher at Peking University and as a research consultant at The World Bank. Prior roles include a Strategy Fellow at Heartland Alliance, where strategic development and monitoring frameworks were established, and various positions at the University of Chicago, including a Global Impact Intern and a Student Marketing Assistant. Sylvie holds a Master of Arts in Public Policy and Microeconomics from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
