Gary P. McCartney

Gary P. McCartney, Ed.D, currently serves as Executive Coach for the South Portland School District and as an Expert Witness for the South Orange & Maplewood School District. With extensive experience as Interim Superintendent in multiple districts, including Mansfield Township School District and Lopatcong Township Board of Education, Gary has a strong background in guiding educational organizations through leadership transitions. Since 2014, Gary has provided consulting and strategic services through GPM Educational Consulting Services, focusing on organizational performance improvement for school superintendents and boards. Previous roles include Expert Witness for various legal firms and Strategic Plan Facilitator for North Brunswick Township Public Schools. Gary holds a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Temple University, along with a Master’s degree in Education from the same institution and a Bachelor’s degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from Millersville University of Pennsylvania.
