Amanda Rakhshandeh is a co-owner of Pet Wants Lubbock, specializing in freshly-made, all-natural pet food and treats, since June 2020. Simultaneously, Amanda serves as an Associate Professor of Anatomy and Physiology at South Plains College, using innovative, student-centered teaching methods in both face-to-face and online formats. Previous academic positions include roles as an Assistant Professor and Adjunct Instructor at various institutions, where Amanda designed and implemented engaging course materials in biology and health sciences. Amanda holds a Graduate Certificate in Medical Physiology from the University of Florida College of Medicine and a PhD in Biochemistry from The Johns Hopkins University, among other degrees.
