Joe Pulis

Joe Pulis has a diverse work experience starting from 2009 as an Interim Laboratory Director/Laboratory Operations Manager for CHRISTUS Health. Joe was successful in setting up a new facility, making it the top-performing laboratory in the CHRISTUS system. During their tenure, the lab managed twice the volumes of other labs while maintaining high compliance rates with few inspection deficiencies. Joe also reduced turnaround times by 25% despite an 80% increase in work volumes.

In 2017, Joe joined South Texas Blood & Tissue Center as an Assistant Director of Product Management. Here, they managed component production and product distribution, leading a team of over fifty people. Joe's improvements and operational practices resulted in a remarkable 34% increase in production, yielding a $1.5M annual revenue increase.

Joe currently works as the Director of Laboratory and Radiology at South Texas Spine & Surgical Hospital since 2020.

Additionally, Joe Pulis served as a Director/Board of Directors for Harvest Fellowship Community Church, overseeing financial matters and coordinating communication between staff and leadership from 2006 to 2016.

Joe Pulis has a Master's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Trinity University. Joe also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Lab Science from UT Health San Antonio. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Medical Technologist from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
