Gerard Asselin

Gerard Asselin, M.S., currently serves as the Director of Operations and Administrator at Southcentral Foundation, a position held since January 2023. Prior to this role, Gerard accumulated extensive experience in law enforcement at the Anchorage Police Department from July 1997 to January 2023, advancing through the ranks from Police Officer to Captain. Additionally, Gerard held leadership roles at the Anchorage Police Department Employees Association, including President and Treasurer from October 2012 to December 2016. Gerard's retail management background includes working as a Retail Manager at Carrs Quality Centers from January 1991 to June 1997. Academically, Gerard holds a Master of Science in Law Enforcement & Public Safety Leadership from the University of San Diego and a Graduate Certificate in Criminal Justice Education from the University of Virginia. Further credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Education with a focus on Human Services and Criminal Justice from Wayland Baptist University and training at the FBI National Academy.
