Michael Moro

Michael Moro is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in power plant operations and management, currently serving as Plant Manager at Southern Company since March 2003. In this role, Michael provides leadership to a combined cycle site and a satellite peaking site, overseeing a team of 45 employees to ensure safety, high availability, and controlled expenses. Previous positions include Operations and Maintenance Manager, where Michael led multi-skilled teams with a strong emphasis on safety and developmental opportunities. Michael's career began in the US Navy as a Nuclear MM, operating and maintaining ship's reactors. An education in Nuclear Engineering and Technology from Thomas Edison State University further supports Michael's expertise in the field.
