Jerry Kruse

Jerry Kruse is the current Dean and Provost CEO of SIU Medicine at Southern Illinois University. Jerry previously served as the interim dean of the SIU School of Medicine. Prior to that, they were a professor and the chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at SIU.

Jerry Kruse received their undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Jerry then attended medical school and received their MD from the same institution. Jerry also completed a Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) while at the University of Missouri-Columbia. After completing their medical training, Jerry Kruse became a Fellow in Academic Family Medicine and a Resident in Family Medicine. Jerry is also certified by The American Board of Family Medicine, Inc.
