Dan Hutts

Dan Hutts is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in home building and business ownership. Currently serving as President of Home Building for Southern Land Company since September 2021, Dan also operates Oak Valley Custom Homes and Oak Valley Investments, focusing on residential development in Texas. Previous roles include consulting for non-profits, where Dan facilitated the creation of micro businesses in Honduras and Africa and developed a master plan for an orphanage and school in Sierra Leone. Dan founded Emerson Residential, a successful luxury custom homebuilding business, from 2002 to 2012, managing the construction of over 40 homes and multi-family units. Dan's career began in software sales and management, ultimately progressing to a Vice President role. Dan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Texas McCombs School of Business.
