Katie Grooms is a seasoned professional in human resources and hospitality management, currently holding the position of Manager, People & Culture at Southern Land Company since August 2020. Grooms has progressed through various roles in the organization, including Manager of Benefits & HRIS and Human Resources Coordinator. Prior to this, experience includes serving as Assistant Manager of Reservations at Loews Miami Beach Hotel and multiple positions at JW Marriott Nashville, encompassing Group Reservations Supervisor and Coordinator. Grooms' career also features roles at Renaissance Hotels, Ohio University Cafes, Boca Restaurant Group, 21c Museum Hotels, Bella Vino Wine Merchant and Bar, Southern Ohio Copperheads, and Tavern Restaurant Group. Educational credentials include a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Social Media, and Strategic Leadership from Ohio University and a high school diploma in Vocal Music from the School for the Creative and Performing Arts.
