Helen Troy's work experience includes holding various positions related to quality and patient safety at MaineHealth and MaineHealth - Southern Maine Health Care. Helen started their career in 2009 as the Director of Quality and Case Management, and later became the Associate Vice President of Quality and Case Management. In 2019, they were promoted to Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety, a position they currently hold. In 2023, they took on the role of Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety for the Southern Region at MaineHealth.

Helen Troy holds a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing from the University of New England, which they obtained from 1993 to 1997. Helen further pursued their education at New England College, where they obtained a Master of Science in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from 2007 to 2009.
