Southern Nevada Health District
Aaron DelCotto, MPH currently works at Southern Nevada Health District since May 2011. In this role, Aaron manages the Food Operations Program in Clark County. Prior to this, Aaron worked at Columbus Public Health from April 2007 to May 2011, where Aaron was involved in various public health programs such as Vector Control, Smoke Free, Water Protection, Tattoo/Body Art, Manufactured Home Parks, and Healthy Schools. Aaron is also pursuing a Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, with previous Bachelor's Degrees in Environmental Health Science and Industrial Hygiene from Ohio University.

This mission of the Health District is, “To assess, protect, and promote the health, the environment, and the well-being of Southern Nevada communities, residents, and visitors.” To this end, the Health District offers services and provides regulatory supervision that impact the public every day – from the food they eat and the water they drink, to the public establishments they visit, the businesses they operate and the requirements they must meet in order to work in certain industries such as food service and child care.
