Paul Lester Sr.

Paul Lester, Sr. is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in law enforcement and technology. Currently serving as a Web Application & Dashboard Developer at Southern Software, Inc. since September 2021, Paul focuses on creating web applications that enhance public safety operations through dynamic dashboards and quality control alerts. Prior to this role, Paul held various leadership positions at UNCG Police Department, including Chief of Police and Assistant Chief of Police, where responsibilities included personnel management, policy development, and compliance oversight. Paul also contributed as a Clery Compliance Application Developer at Southern Software from 2013 to 2019, and as Corporate Security Director at Koury Corporation. Paul is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, along with additional education in Political Science from other institutions. Paul is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.
