Jamie Jones

Jamie Jones currently serves as the Executive Director of Institutional Advancement at Southside Virginia Community College, a position held since May 2024. Prior to this role, Jamie was the Director of Communications & Assistant Advancement Officer at the same institution from October 2020 to June 2024. Jamie's experience also includes serving as the Marketing & Public Relations Manager at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital from October 2015 to October 2020, and as a Public Relations & Marketing Specialist at Southside Virginia Community College from September 2011 to October 2015, where responsibilities included promoting the college to various community stakeholders and executing marketing initiatives. Earlier in the career, Jamie worked as an Account Executive at The Roanoke Times, focusing on building client relationships, and oversaw magazine production as a Special Publications Account Executive at Womack Publishing/ South Hill Enterprise. Jamie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Virginia Tech, earned from 2003 to 2005.
