Evan Thompson

Mr. Thompson joined SouthStar in May 2022 as an Account Manager. His primary responsibilities include verifying invoices, purchase orders, and other items to ensure a smooth funding process for SouthStar’s clients.

Prior to joining SouthStar, Mr. Thompson worked in the accounting department for a leading building materials company in Charleston. His primary focus was dealing with the daily tasks of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as well as preparing month-end statements. Having previous experience in the finance industry was a great attribute to becoming accustomed to and understanding the needs of SouthStar’s clients.

Mr. Thompson graduated from West Virginia University with a BSBA in Accounting and a Master’s in Communication Studies. During his tenure at WVU, he worked as an assistant for the football team where he received various scholarships for this.
