VP, Technology, Air & Technical operations at Southwest Airlines

Jim’s Leadership of Southwest’s Air and Technical Operations portfolio within Technology supports Southwest’s complex operating systems which Flight Operations, Inflight Operations, Network Operations Control (NOC), Safety & Security, and Technical Operations Departments. Jim partners closely with these Teams to ensure the successful delivery of new technologies that redefine necessary capabilities for Southwest’s critical operating systems.

Jim joined Southwest in 2012 as a Senior Manager and Program Lead for Operations Recovery, where he led the delivery of several projects to improve operational reliability and communications to Customers during irregular operations. Also during his time at Southwest, he supported Revenue Management and Network Planning. Most recently, Jim served as Technology Delivery Lead, for Southwest's successful launch of the new reservations system implementation. Prior to joining Southwest Airlines, Jim has been Director of Consulting at several of companies, including PeopleSoft, i2 Technologies, and Oracle. He also previously worked at Capital One Auto Finance as Director of Loan Servicing Systems.
