Rob Burner

Rob Burner, ASQ CQA, has extensive experience in aviation safety and compliance, currently serving as the Director of Safety Information Management System at Southwest Airlines since June 2010. In this position, Rob leads the SIMS Data Analytics Team, the SIMS Operational Reporting Team, and Aviation Safety Action Programs. Previous roles at Southwest Airlines include Director of Internal Evaluation and Director of Tech Ops Assurance, where responsibilities encompassed oversight of safety and compliance assessments and performance investigations. Prior to Southwest Airlines, Rob held various positions at American Eagle Airlines and served in the United States Marine Corps as an avionics technician. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Airway Science - Electronic Systems from the University of North Dakota.
