Anais Biera Miracle is the Chief Communications Officer for Southwest Key, where she oversees the Communications and Community Development departments.
Prior to her role as Chief Communications Officer for Southwest Key, Anais was the Chief Public Relations Officer for The Children’s Shelter in San Antonio for nearly 12 years. In that role, Anais oversaw the agency’s public relations, legislative affairs and advocacy initiatives. Anais’ public relations career spans more than 16 years. Anais is a graduate of the University of the Incarnate Word (San Antonio, Texas), with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with an emphasis in American Politics, and a minor in Speech Communications.
Anais is also a graduate of the Community Leadership Institute (CLI) Class of 2011 in Servant Leadership and holds an Advanced Certification in Negotiations from the University of Notre Dame Mendoza School of Business. She is also an alumnus of the San Antonio Women’s Chamber of Commerce Level 5 Leadership Program. Anais is a graduate of the 2016 Alex Briseño Leadership Development Program as well, sponsored by the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. In August 2018, Anais graduated from the Latina Leadership Institute, a six-month program focused on empowering women to seek political office and civic engagement opportunities. Anais was the 2021 Chair of the San Antonio Chapter of the Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas, which fundraises scholarships for Latina college students. Anais was also involved as a School Council member for her daughter’s elementary school.
Anais received the Image de San Antonio Award as an Outstanding Hispanic Woman Role Model for 2015 and the Yellow Rose of Texas Award, through the Office of the Governor to recognize women for their significant contributions to their communities and the state of Texas. Anais also received the 2019 Public Relations Society of America San Antonio Chapter, Del Oro Community Service Award.
