Amy Marie Burgin

Amy Marie Burgin has a diverse work experience. Amy Marie began their career as a Graduate Instructor at Texas Tech University, teaching courses in Trigonometry, Algebra, Business Calculus, and Statistics. Amy Marie then worked as a Research Analyst at Southwest Research Institute, where they developed software and managed projects for the Department of Defense. After that, they joined OnBoard Software as a Software Engineer and later became a Technical Lead, working on projects for the Department of Defense. Amy also worked as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Alamo Colleges District, where they taught and advised students. Amy Marie was involved in various writing projects as a hope*writer and self-published their work on their website. Currently, they serve as a Lead Computer Scientist and Technical Lead at Southwest Research Institute, contributing to the development of Java applications for NASA and ESA space missions. Additionally, they are a Podcast Host at The Christgazing Podcast, where they explore the teachings of Jesus Christ through readings from the Bible.

Amy Marie Burgin holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Texas Tech University, which they obtained from 1995 to 1998. Prior to their master's degree, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics and Computer Science at Texas Tech University from 1991 to 1995. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained the CMMI Associate certification from CMMI Institute in February 2020 and from CMMI in May 2023.
