Lead Engineering Technologist at Southwest Research Institute

Lori Spencer has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Lori started their career in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant, where they maintained various computer systems. After leaving the military, they worked as a Level 2 Enterprise Service Desk Technician at CACI, providing support for the Air Force Net Operations. Lori then joined The Centech Group as a Forward Deployed Technician/Systems Analyst, where they provided laptops to personnel and relocated them to a remodeled facility. At IMCOM HQ - G6, they worked as an IT Specialist, monitoring and maintaining video teleconferencing networks and systems. Lori also served as the Information Assurance Security Officer (IASO) and managed ticket queues. After that, they joined CPS Energy as a Systems Analyst IV - Service Desk, supporting customers and creating and maintaining accounts and mailboxes. Lori then worked at BCforward as a Reporting Analyst Lead, leading a team of reporting analysts and producing financial and payroll analytics. Lori then joined XTreme IT Consulting as a Senior Operating System Engineer, where they developed solutions for enterprise-level system issues and collaborated with stakeholders. Lori'snext role was at CALIBRE Systems, Inc. as a Customer Relationship Manager, where they developed and maintained relationships with clients and monitored service level agreements. Most recently, they worked as a System Administrator at Southwest Research Institute, providing support for the Lonestar Software used by the Texas Department of Transportation for traffic management.

Lori Spencer received a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and Software Engineering from the University of Phoenix in 2007. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from the Community College of the Air Force between 1979 and 1987. In addition to their degrees, Lori has obtained several certifications in various areas of IT, such as HDI Support Center Manager (SCM), CompTIA Security+ CE, ITIL Operational Support and Analysis, and Microsoft certifications in desktop support and configuration.
