John D. Gass

Mr. Gass began his career in 1974 in Chevron’s Gulf of Mexico business unit in New Orleans, and over the next 38 years held positions of increasing responsibility, including heading the company’s an exploration and production operations in southern Africa and Australia, and Papua New Guinea. Mr. Gass served as a director of Sasol Chevron Holdings Ltd and GS Caltex. Mr. Gass also served as a director of Weatherford International, Ltd. from 2013 through 2019 and served on the Compensation and the Health, Safety, and Environment Committees. He became a director of Suncor Energy Inc. in February 2014, where he serves on its Governance Committee and chairs its Human Resources and Compensation Committee.
