Cynthia Jenkins

Assistant Director of Adult Education at Southwestern Illinois College

Cynthia Jenkins is the current Assistant Director of Adult Education at Southwestern Illinois College. Cynthia has previously worked as the Manager of Academic Support Services at Saint Louis Community College from August 2011 to January 2019. In this role, Cynthia led a team of 45-52 employees and was responsible for the fiscal management of an annual budget. Cynthia also provided oversight and control of a departmental budget, directed monthly training sessions for faculty and staff, and developed new departmental operating procedures. Additionally, they served on the Higher Learning Commission Self-Study, the campus leadership team, and the redesign team for developmental math and reading courses. Cynthia has also been instrumental in providing 1000+ online learning resources for students.

Cynthia Jenkins holds a Doctor of Education from Northcentral University and a Master of Arts from Webster University. Cynthia has also studied business administration and management at Northern Michigan University.
