Mark Simmons

Mark Simmons has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Mark is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Southwestern National Bank. Prior to this role, they served as the Market President-Houston at Southside Bank. From 2010 to 2019, they were the EVP and National Director of Business Banking at Comerica Bank. Before that, they were the Managing Director at The Avalon Group, Inc., a private investment banking and consulting company. Mark also held key positions at Extreme International, Inc., The Applerock Group, LLC, HomeFed Bank, Bank of America, and First City National Bank, gaining expertise in various areas such as strategic planning, marketing, operations, finance, and credit administration.

Mark Simmons obtained their B.S. degree in Finance from Brigham Young University. Mark pursued this degree from 1981 to 1983, while also minoring in Accounting and Economics. Later, Mark went on to complete an MBA in Finance from LeTourneau University, studying from 1996 to 1998.
