Southwestern Public Health
Emily Walsh is a certified public health inspector currently employed at Southwestern Public Health since September 2023, where responsibilities include conducting various environmental inspections and providing public health education. Prior experience includes a role as a public health inspector at the City of Hamilton, where similar duties were performed, from May 2022 to June 2023. Previously, Emily served as a nutrition supervisor at Hamilton Health Sciences, managing staff and ensuring quality in food service, and held positions at Aux Vivres Group, contributing to food system development and regulatory compliance. Additional experience includes supervisory roles in dining services and youth support, complemented by a Bachelor of Applied Science in Public Health from Ryerson University and a dietetic technician diploma.

Formed in 2018 by the merger of Elgin St. Thomas Public Health and Oxford County Public Health, Southwestern Public Health serves a population of about 200,000 across Oxford County, Elgin County and the City of St. Thomas.
