Sanvir Dessai

Sanvir Dessai has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Sanvir worked at SovTech, starting as a Full Stack Developer from April 2019 to February 2020. Sanvir then progressed to become a Lead Engineer from March 2020 to February 2022, before assuming the position of Head of Engineering in March 2022.

Prior to their time at SovTech, Sanvir was a Software Engineer at Proximity ID from January 2018 to March 2019.

Additionally, Sanvir gained practical experience through student vacation work. Sanvir worked at Proximity ID in June and July 2017, where they were involved in IoT-based software development using technologies such as Raspberry Pi's, Android Development API, Bluetooth Low Energy, Kotlin, and LiveScript.

Before that, in June 2015 to January 2016, Sanvir worked at the University of the Witwatersrand as part of the Wits Hybrid Car project. Their role focused on engineering design work, specifically the implementation and design of electronic systems for the vehicle's electrical systems, including a solar panel array, energy storage system, control system, and electrical drivetrain.

Sanvir Dessai pursued a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree in Electrical and Information Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand. Sanvir attended the university from the year 2014 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, Sanvir obtained a certification as an AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services in October 2021.
