Ilhaam Tagodien has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ilhaam currently holds the position of Head of QA at SovTech since June 2022, where they previously worked as a QA Test Engineer from September 2021 to June 2022. Prior to SovTech, they worked at Byte Orbit as a QA Engineer from September 2019 to September 2021, where their responsibilities included working with Agile and Scrum methodologies, creating test plans and test cases, identifying and tracking bugs, and collaborating with internal teams. Before that, they served as a Junior Business Analyst and QA Engineer at ZaiLab from February 2018 to July 2019. Ilhaam started their career in 2016 at OneDayOnly.co.za as a Help Desk Support, providing customer service and support to online clients. Ilhaam also has experience working as a Customer Service Agent at British Gas Business for a short period in 2015. Prior to shifting to the IT industry, Ilhaam worked in the retail sector, holding positions such as Store Manager at Longstreet Boutique from December 2010 to March 2015, Assistant Manager at Pia Boutique from December 2009 to December 2010, and Sales Assistant at Canterbury from December 2008 to December 2009.

Ilhaam Tagodien completed the Business Intelligence Analyst Course in 2019 at Udemy, earning a certificate. In the same year, they also completed the Selenium WebDriver with Java - Basics to Advanced+Frameworks course on Udemy, also earning a certificate. In 2013, they obtained a National Qualification in Business Administration and Management, General from Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Harold Cressy High School and obtained a National Senior Certificate with Exemption in Matric in 2007. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Management from Cape Peninsula University of Technology in December 2013.
