Demir Vangelov

Demir Vangelov is the CEO of Soylent, a food technology company that produces nutritionally complete meals in the form of a powder. Demir was previously the CFO and COO of Califia Farms, where they helped expand the company domestically and globally. Demir has also served as the interim CEO of Oberto Snacks Inc.

Demir is an expert in financial planning and analysis, as well as in developing high-performing teams. Demir's experience in both the private and public sectors has resulted in significant revenue growth and operational improvements for the companies they have worked for. In 2017, Demir was nominated by the Los Angeles Business Journal for the Chief Financial Officer of the Year Award.

Demir Vangelov has an MBA in Finance from McMaster University and a MA in Economics from University for National & World Economy. Demir is also a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario).
