Andrew Binstock

Andrew Binstock has a diverse work experience in various fields, starting with their current role as National Security Compliance Counsel at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. Since May 2023, they have been responsible for ensuring national security compliance.

Prior to this, Andrew worked at Zoom from January 2021 to February 2023. Their roles included Senior Manager for Operations Assurance and Risk Management Policy, where they focused on risk management and policy development at Zoom Video Communications.

From March 2020 to January 2021, Andrew served as Advisory Principal for Investment & Trade Security (ITS) at U.Group, where they provided guidance on investment and trade security issues. Andrew also worked as a CFIUS Professional in the Office of the Secretary of Defense from February 2019 to March 2020, assessing and mitigating risks arising from foreign direct investments.

Before joining U.Group, Andrew worked at the United States Department of Defense as Deputy Division Chief from November 2016 to November 2018. In this role, they provided oversight to military activities and had expertise in program management, defense policy, and sensitive activities.

Additionally, Andrew has experience in academia as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at the National Intelligence University from May 2017 to June 2018. Andrew designed and instructed a graduate-level course on The Law of Intelligence and National Security.

Prior to their government and academic roles, Andrew served as a Civilian Legal Advisor in the US Army from February 2012 to November 2016. Andrew provided legal solutions to military planning obstacles and supported complex acquisition actions.

Before joining the army, Andrew worked as an Assistant General Counsel at the US Department of Defense from September 2004 to June 2012. In this position, they designed a compliance manual and provided legal support for a multi-agency data fusion initiative.
