Barrett Shaver serves as the Chief Development Officer at Space Center Houston since January 2022, while also operating as an Independent Consultant since April 2021, providing strategic guidance in fund development and management. Shaver previously spent nearly 17 years at SFJAZZ, ultimately holding the position of Director of Development, where responsibilities included leading fundraising efforts that raised nearly $8 million annually. Earlier roles included Development Operations Director and Membership Director at SFJAZZ and a Research Associate at UC Berkeley's School of Public Health. Additional experience includes project management at CompassPoint Nonprofit Services. Shaver holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Dartmouth College and a certificate from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in Diversity & Inclusion for Organizational Excellence.
