Jason Olea

Jason Olea has a diverse work experience in the technology and hospitality industry. Jason is currently serving as the Vice President of Technology and Systems at Space Center Houston. Prior to this, they worked as the Corporate Director of Information Technology at Paligroup Management LLC and as the Director of Information Technology at ARRIVE Hotels & Restaurants.

Before their roles in the hospitality industry, Jason held positions in the technology field. Jason served as the Director of Information Technology at The Houstonian Hotel, Club and Spa, where they oversaw the administration, security, and maintenance of servers, networks, and applications. Jason also worked as a Regional IT Manager and Area IT Manager at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, where they managed network systems for boutique hotels and restaurants in the Southwest region.

Jason began their career as a Front Office Manager at Hotel Monaco - Salt Lake City, a Kimpton Hotel. Jason then worked as a Front Desk Manager at BEST WESTERN PLUS CottonTree Inn-North Salt Lake. Jason also gained experience as an Executive Assistant at Larry H Miller Group.

Jason Olea has a varied education history. Jason attended Brigham Young University from 2009 to 2010, where they studied Nutrition Sciences. Jason then pursued Information Technology at Brigham Young University from 2010 to 2013. Prior to their time at Brigham Young University, Jason earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in General Studies from Ensign College, where they studied from 2005 to 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Jason has obtained several certifications. In 2018, they obtained the ITIL Master Qualification from PeopleCert, the Cisco Certified Network Associate Service Provider Operations (CCNA) certification from Cisco, and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from Microsoft. In 2017, they earned the Certified Hospitality Technology Professional (CHTP) certification from Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP). In 2016, they obtained the CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+ certifications from CompTIA.
