Claudia Kessler has a diverse and extensive work experience. Claudia has worked as a Business Development Manager at Space Products and Innovation since 2023. Prior to that, they were involved in strategic marketing at APUS Group starting in 2022. From 2019 to the present, Claudia has served as the CEO and Owner of Astronautin GmbH, a company that aims to empower women and promote their leadership in business and society through exceptional training programs. Claudia has also worked as a faculty member at the European Institute for Innovation and Sustainability since 2021, and as a Member of the Board of Advisors at 3DSE Management Consultants GmbH since 2018. In 2017, they founded "die Astronautin". From 2004 to 2018, Claudia was the CEO of HE Space, a prominent role in the space industry. Claudia has also been involved in space start-up activities and worked as a Business Development Manager at EADS Space Transportation (Astrium, DASA) from 1999 to 2004. Finally, they started their career as an Assistant to the Board of Directors at Kayser-Threde GmbH from 1990 to 1999.
Claudia Kessler has a strong educational background in the field of engineering and space technology. Claudia started their education by completing a Dipl. Ing. degree in Aerospace Engineering at the Technical University of Munich, attending from 1984 to 1990. During this period, they also conducted a Diploma Thesis focusing on Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering at ISAS (Institute for Space and Astronautical Science Japan) from 1989 to 1990.
In 1993, Claudia attended the International Space University for a short period to further their knowledge in Space Technology. Claudia did not obtain a degree during this time.
Later, Claudia pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Economics from Euro-FH Europäische Fernhochschule Hamburg, attending from 2006 to 2008. This demonstrates their broader interest in business and management within the aerospace industry.
In addition to their academic achievements, Claudia also obtained the Academician certification from the International Academy of Astronautics in September 2003. This certification recognizes their expertise and contributions in the field of astronautics.
