Sydney Barnes

Sydney Barnes is an accomplished astrophysicist currently serving as the Assistant Managing Editor for Astronomische Nachrichten since 2020 and as a Professor at Leibniz-Institut fuer Astrophysik Potsdam since 2012. With a career spanning over two decades, Sydney has held various academic and research positions, including Research Scientist at the Space Science Institute, Assistant Astronomer at Lowell Observatory, and Assistant Professor at the Florida Institute of Technology. Sydney's expertise encompasses astrophysical research, lecturing, student supervision, and committee work within the astrophysics community.
