Chief Technical Officer (CTO) at Space Works

Brad St. Germain began their career in 1998 as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Space Systems Design Laboratory (SSDL) at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they developed an optimization technique for the performance and powerhead configuration of liquid rocket engines for their Ph.D. Thesis. Brad also led various conceptual level launch vehicle and space systems design projects, and supported other research projects with propulsion/trajectory/weights & sizing analysis.

In 2003, they joined SpaceWorks Enterprises, Inc. (SEI) as the Chief Technical Officer (CTO). At SEI, they used multi-disciplinary design and leading model-based system engineering to approach the design and evaluation of both human and robotic space systems. Brad also worked to help clients rapidly answer critical decision maker questions and improve overall quality and program delivery metrics throughout the program lifecycle. Additionally, they were the Director of Engineering and the Director of Advanced Concepts at SEI.

In 2016, Brad St. Germain joined Generation Orbit as the Director of Engineering and X-60A Chief Engineer.

Brad St. Germain obtained a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University between 1994 and 1998. Brad then went on to obtain an MS in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology between 1998 and 1999. Finally, they earned their Ph.D in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2003.
