Riazuddin Kawsar

Riazuddin Kawsar has worked in a variety of roles in the geospatial technology field since 2006. In 2006, they were a Research Assistant at the Asian Development Bank in the Urban and Rural Planning Discipline. From 2009 to 2012, they were a Project Officer and GIS & RS Analyst at the Geographical Solutions Research Centre Ltd. During this time, they were responsible for spatial and non-spatial database development and management, spatial statistics/analysis, GIS and RS application development, solutions and services providing, data interoperability and management, cartographic mapping, and conducting GIS/RS training. In 2012, they became the Program Representative for the Masters of Geospatial Technologies (MScGT) program at the Erasmus Mundus Association. Riazuddin also worked as an Editor at Geoawesomeness in 2012. From 2013 to 2015, they were the Team Leader and Geo-Spatial Programmer at Spatial Business Integration GmbH. Riazuddin's responsibilities included automating and establishing GIS and Remote Sensing techniques and criteria to attain different project goals, Oracle Procedure development and APEX integration, efficient algorithm development for huge amount of geospatial data processing and analysis, managing the geospatial technology team, and providing GIS/RS advisory and administrative support. In 2019, they co-founded Solorrow GmbH, where they work to make precision farming more accessible and efficient. Riazuddin also co-founded Spacenus GmbH in 2015, where they work to combat climate change and provide food for the entire planet.

Riazuddin Kawsar began their education in 2004 when they earned their Bachelor of Urban and Rural Planning from Khulna University. In 2010, they obtained their Masters of Development Studies from East West University. In 2011, they obtained a Master of Science in GIS and RS from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a Master of Science (MS) in Geospatial Technologies from University of M\u00fcnster.
