Caitlin MacKey Driscoll

Caitlin Mackey Driscoll is a Senior Manager of Dragon Structures Engineering at SpaceX, overseeing a team of five engineering leads and 40 engineers responsible for the mechanical structures of Crew and Cargo Dragon vehicles. With a background in mechanisms engineering and structures engineering, Caitlin has held various roles at SpaceX since 2015, including Manager of Dragon Mechanisms Engineering and Lead Structures Engineer for the Mechanisms Team. Caitlin's expertise encompasses the development and management of complex systems such as docking systems and thermal protection mechanisms, as well as leading efforts in root cause analysis and design improvements. Additionally, Caitlin has experience in product design from a systems integrator role during a senior product design class at MIT and has conducted undergraduate research focused on microfluidic scaffolds. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Stanford University.
