Al Glaeser

Al Glaeser has an extensive and diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Al began their career as an Officer in the US Army Corps of Engineers and served for five years. Following their military service, they joined ExxonMobil as a Regional Engineering Manager, overseeing real estate development capital projects and managing maintenance activities.

Moving on, Al Glaeser joined Intel Corporation as the Director of Operations for the Software Products and Services Division. In this role, they managed a $45M profit and loss (P&L) and led a team of nearly 300 personnel. Al'sresponsibilities included strategic planning, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy, and overseeing all aspects of daily operations.

After their time at Intel, Al Glaeser worked at CACI, Inc. where they held multiple roles. As the Vice President and Division Manager of the Defense Network Services Division, they successfully managed a $26.5M P&L with contracts supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency and the Army. Additionally, they served as the Director and Program Manager for the OPTARSS I Contract Vehicle, overseeing task orders worth over $35M and leading successful proposals for the Army.

Al Glaeser further broadened their experience at Microsoft, where they served as a Business Development Manager for the Department of Defense client community. In this role, they led multiple large program capture efforts and managed relationships with various stakeholders, including Microsoft organizations, systems integrators, and partners.

Continuing their career trajectory, Al Glaeser joined Synteras as the President and General Manager. Al was responsible for managing the profit and loss, delivery, and customer relations for a $18M Small Disadvantaged Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) Government contracting company. During their tenure, they provided application development and communications technology expertise to the Department of Justice.

Most recently, Al Glaeser founded Spahr Solutions Group, LLC (SSG) and assumed the position of President. SSG is a certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) specializing in information technology support for the Department of Defense, Veterans Administration, and Federal Law Enforcement communities. The company's core services include application development, data analytics, and systems engineering.

Al Glaeser's education history includes attending USMA (West Point), Stanford University, and the Westminster Gore School of Business, although specific dates and degrees obtained are not provided for this period. In 1982, they began their studies at the United States Military Academy at West Point, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Civil) in 1986. Later, in 2000, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Technology Management at Westminster College, completing it in 2003. Additionally, in 2001-2002, they attended Stanford University and obtained certification as a Stanford Certified Project Manager.

Throughout their career, Al Glaeser has also obtained several additional certifications. In 2003, they achieved the Stanford Certified Project Manager (SCPM) certification from Stanford University. In 2010, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Later, in 2016, they obtained the ITIL Foundation certification from Learning Tree International and the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance. Most recently, in August 2022, Al Glaeser became a delegate at the Moonshots and Moneymakers Oxford Innovation Conference through Birthing of Giants.
