Doris Hung

Doris Hung's work experience begins in 2006, where they worked as a Network Server Administrator Assistant at Art Practice, UC Berkeley. In 2008, they interned at Tivix Inc and later became a Student Programmer at the Museum of Vertebrate Zoology at UC Berkeley. In 2009, Doris worked as a College Intern at Cisco Systems.

From 2010 to 2014, they joined the Stratos Team at Cisco Systems as a Full Stack Developer and Scrum Master. During this time, they designed backend services, user interfaces, and implemented algorithms to improve meeting resources consumption for the distributed video conferencing platform.

In 2014, Doris joined Nest @ Google as a Software Integration Engineer, where they redesigned data-processing bottlenecks using Apache Kafka and Apache Storm.

Doris then transitioned to Google and worked on various roles from 2015 to 2021. This includes being a Senior Software Engineer for Google Fiber, a Senior Software Engineer and later a Staff Software Engineer for Stadia.

In 2021, Doris worked at Yohana as a Tech Lead Manager for the Services/Global Membership team. Doris led the global membership effort, managed a backend services engineering team, and made various contributions to the services stack.

Currently, Doris is working as a Senior Staff Engineer - Cloud at SPAN, starting in 2023.

Doris Hung started their education at Mills High School from 2003 to 2006. Following this, they attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Later, they pursued further studies at Santa Clara University from 2010 to 2014, earning a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Managing Innovation and Technology / Leading People & Organization.
