Paulo R Espeschite Arantes

Paulo R Espeschite Arantes has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Paulo began their career as a Commercial Manager at Lance da Vez in 2010. From 2012 to 2014, they worked at Endeavor Brasil, where they were responsible for search and selection of high impact entrepreneurs and growth support. In 2014, they joined Denox, where they held the role of USA Operations and Business Development. After that, they worked at Mitoo, a sports platform, as a Data and Operations specialist. At Mitoo, they used data insights to improve lead generation and sales processes.

In 2016, Paulo joined Galvanize as a Data Science Fellow, where they gained experience in solving real-world business challenges using machine learning techniques and worked with statistical analysis, database integration, and big data analytics. Later that year, they joined UnifyID as a Machine Learning Engineer, where they built automated end-to-end signal processing pipelines and improved data processing speed and memory usage.

In 2018, they joined BuildingConnected as a Machine Learning Engineer before the company was acquired by Autodesk. At BuildingConnected, they worked on creating user-friendly communication software for the construction industry. In 2019, they transitioned to the role of Senior Data Scientist at Autodesk, where they continued their work in the field.

In 2022, Paulo became a Climate Fellow at Climatebase before moving on to their current role as a Senior Data Scientist at SPAN.

Paulo R Espeschite Arantes completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BSBA) degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations at International Business School - FGV from 2010 to 2013. In 2017, they obtained an Artificial Intelligence Nanodegree from Udacity with a focus on AI and Deep Learning. In 2019, Paulo completed a Machine Learning Engineer Nanodegree from Udacity, specializing in Machine Learning. Additionally, Paulo has obtained various certifications including Permaculture Design Certification (PDC) from Midwest Permaculture in February 2021, Communicating with Empathy from LinkedIn in January 2021, and Certified Practitioner of Human-Centered Design from LUMA Institute in June 2020. Paulo has also earned course certificates in Deep Learning by Google in February 2017, Neural Networks for Machine Learning by University of Toronto (Geoffrey Hinton) from Coursera in October 2016, and Machine Learning by Stanford University (Andrew Ng) from Coursera in March 2016.
